The area from Menzies to south of Norseman (C and D) was excised from the Australia wide EagleEye enhancement of the colour contoured magnetics (A).

This was then compared with the geology plan of the same area. The general geological trends and structures in the mine areas are of similar orientation. This is a good result as the area has been enlarged about 4000/200 = 20 times.

The mines are located on similar structures that appear in the geology plan (B).

The NNW structures that predominate throughout the mineralised area of the Yilgarn are quite evident as are the Defiance and Jimberlana Proterozoic dykes.

This is a good result for a first pass with EagleEye enhancement. We will be looking in more detail at the Ora Banda, Kalgoorlie and Kambalda areas in the next post.

Cheers

Bob
