Earth Evolution, stage 1. Is there fact geological evidence of the 4.57 Ga Theia impact? Part 6.

The AusIMM webinar I did on this new research can be seen on the AusIMM website or on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snu8En442Js

From now on these papers contains all new scientific information – so stay tuned!

It’s amazing what comes out in the scientific literature! This one is a game changer!

I was always told that Earthquakes only occurred in the top 200 km of hard lithosphere. The 3-D image below, of the earth’s earthquake epicentres over a year in 2017, was produced in 2022 by Daniel Gilbert and it showed earthquake epicentres occurring right down to the core. If there was a mobile (ductile) mantle then this should not happen.

Proof of Earthquakes down to Outer Core!

Figure 15. Earthquakes down to Outer Core!

This image shows earthquake epicentres right around the Pacific Ocean where Theia was supposed to have impacted Earth in 4.57 Ga.

This suggests that the lithosphere is solid right to the outer core right around the Pacific ocean..

The first divergence from the current earth evolution theory is that I believe the earth was relatively cool after the orbiting material from the Theia impact aggregated back into the Earth and Moon.

I suggest this because the exploded material from Thea impact should have ended up at -80°C (which is deep space temperature) before descending.

Also, recent evidence suggests that the earth has always been ocean covered. How could a molten earth be ocean covered?

The image at the centre of the Pacific Ocean in the above image is an EagleEye enhancement of the outer surface of the Inner Core. This structural geology shows a remarkable similarity and morphology to that Pacific Ocean above – why is this and how could it happen?

I suggest that the Theia impact breached the inner core and deformed it. Being out of shape (like the moon) the inner core is not rotating compared to the Earth as a whole.

In the NW of the inner core or there is a large partial concentric ring structure which is where I believe Theia impacted the Inner Core.

Recent evidence suggests that the solid inner core is oscillating backwards and forwards (not rotating) compared to the outer layers of the Earth. This would explain the similarity between the morphology of the Pacific Ocean and the Inner Core beneath it.

Also, there are almost no earthquakes in the central Pacific Ocean plates. This suggests that entire Pacific Ocean is under extension (upwelling) and perhaps always has been?

Is there fact geological evidence of the 4.57 Ga Theia impact?

Is there other geophysical evidence that the Theia impact penetrated right to the core in the Pacific Ocean.

Yes. Seismic tomography plans, right from the surface to the outer core, show huge ring structures which encompass the whole Pacific Ocean, following the ring of fire, with smaller ones in the centre of the Pacific Ocean (yellow rings right-side of Figure 16).

There is a complimentary set of similar dimensions (which are diametrically opposite the rings under the Pacific Ocean) that occur under Central and Southern Africa (blue rings left-side of Figure 16).

I believe these two complimentary sets of structures which are repeated in every seismic tomography plan (about 20 of them) are Theia’s Pacific ‘entrance wound’ and the African rings the ‘farfield’ or exit wound.

As a side note, if the Earth is constantly getting recycled by the mobile mantle why is it that these structures can be seen right from the core to the surface? We will see them much more clearly in the next section.

Cheers

Bob
